Self-catering safaris offer something magical, you have the gift of experiencing and exploring all the incredible elements of a safari camp with your nearest and dearest, in a way that won’t break the bank. There are no one else’s rules, times or plans to stick to; basically you can do what you want, when you want.

The kids can jump in and out of the pool while squealing with delight, without causing a disturbance to other guests. You can decide the times of meals, the departure time and duration of game drive because, well, it is all up to you. Today, when so much is prescribed to us, this experience is completely liberating.

Home cook or master-chef

For some people the self-catering camps introduce a culinary showdown, while for others it could mean simplifying things. 

Want-to-be MasterChefs love the chance to get behind the coals and experiment with all the foodie treats they don’t usually have time for when they are at home. For some, being on holiday means a holiday from cooking too, so if that is you, we have your back – For a small extra charge we can organise a cook for you during your stay.

What’s included

Besides the accommodation and game vehicle – you will have a skilled guide and tracker who will not only lead memorable and educational safaris, but also help pack cooler boxes for sundowners and flasks for morning coffee stops. 

There will be a housekeeper who will service the rooms daily, linens and amenities are all provided. This wonderful person will also clean the public areas and help wash dishes, when needed. 

We also provide ice, drinking water and firewood to make the travelling here that much easier for you.
