In early 2019, Thornybush will be opening the doors of its newest luxury tented camp – Saseka Tented Camp.

This camp will have eight luxury tents, that each house two guests and a larger Leadwood Villa, which will accommodate four adults in two tents. These will have a central entertainment area – perfect for small groups or a family. Each tent has its own private plunge pool and deck.

Meals will be enjoyed in the communal area of the lodge, made using local produce and according to a variety of dietary requirements.

Guests at Saseka will also enjoy morning and evening game drives around the reserve with professional safari guides and trackers, in an open vehicle. This is the perfect opportunity to experience the untouched wilderness that Africa is so well known for.

Small Groups Welcome! ​

Leadwood Villa will have access to its own dedicated vehicle, safari guide and tracker, and will feature a central lounge area, pool and pool deck. Meals can also be served at the villa, allowing small groups or families to connect with each other, away from the other guests at the lodge.

What you can expect

Saseka Lodge will have a 5-star rating, so guests can expect excellent, personalized service from well-trained staff members. The Thornybush Reserve sits on 14 000 hectares of untouched wilderness. Now that the fences between the Kruger National Park and the private reserves adjacent to it have been removed, animals are able to move freely, across much larger tracts of lands, improving the possibility of you seeing a more diverse range of animals.

The lodge location has also been carefully selected to give guests the feeling that they are truly in the wild while still enjoying the comforts of modern living. Saseka Tented Camp will overlook the seasonal Monwana River, which draws all types of animals to its banks, allowing guests excellent game viewing opportunities right from their own decks.
