Receptionist

In a Nutshell

As our Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression by answering calls, handling basic inquiries, and performing general administrative tasks to support smooth front office operations. As part of the growth plan, this role will evolve to include assisting Key Accounts Managers with managing and coordinating bookings, providing greater exposure to account handling and client service.

What you will be doing

  • Answering calls promptly and courteously
  • Accurately directing and/or transferring calls
  • Transferring complaint calls to the appropriate department
  • Tracking messages
  • Checking availability
  • Managing deliveries at the Head Office
  • Assisting with basic administration and day-to-day running of the office

Technical Skills

  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Basic Computer skills (you will be required to use a computer system for call routing and other tasks)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Property Management Tools/Systems
  • Familiarity with Travelyst will be advantageous
  • Basic understanding of Financial Systems and Processes
  • Familiarity with terms and conditions, rates, and STO applications, and knows how to transfer calls efficiently to the appropriate person or department
  • Excellent knowledge of what is required in an office environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Receptionist and/or Junior Office Manager
  • Grade 12 | Matric
  • Tertiary Diploma and/or Degree (advantageous)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Clear Criminal Record

Position Details

  • Site: Head Office in Hoedspruit
  • Working Hours: 08h00 – 17h00 (Mon-Fri)
  • Remuneration and Benefits: Cash + Provident Fund + Medical Aid
